I didn't have the folder where it was supposed to be according to the guide, so I created a folder and put the ini file in there. However, when removing mods, there is no concept of a "clean save." To fix broken or corrupted saves or to remove mod data after disabling/uninstalling a mod, you need to use script cleaners, which are meant for updating mods, not fixing saves. The link sent me to Nexus Mod Manager, but when I clicked download, nothing happened, so I gave up. Some ESPs needed updating, while others required deletion, but there were many that needed cleaning using TES5Edit. I wasn't using LOOT before, but I am now and double-checked the guide to ensure the load order is correct. Some questions: Did you activate SKSE memory tweak, so that the game will allocate more memory for initial processes? Are you sorting your load order with LOOT? If you removed scripted mods from an ongoing game, then you'll have to start a new game. The tool cleans obsolete entries and orphaned scripts from the game, but script data remains in the save file, causing Papryus to constantly check it and create errors. This includes work done using Save Script Cleaner. There are no solutions for "clean saves" when removing mods.
